Mentee Agreement

Student-athletes interested in participating in the Boston College Mentor Program must complete and submit the Student-Athlete Mentee Obligations Agreement to the Athletics Compliance Office.

Obligations and Expectations

As a student-athlete mentee you will be paired with an alumni mentor and you will be obligated to: 

  1. Report any NCAA rules violations or possible rules violations of which you are aware or any rumored, suspected, or alleged violations to the Athletics Compliance Office.
  2. Furnish information relevant to an investigation of a possible violation when requested to do so by the NCAA or a representative of Boston College 
  3. Contact the Athletics Compliance Office with any questions regarding NCAA rules prior to you receiving any material benefit, arrangement or service from your mentor. 

Please know that your mentor may not: 

  1. Knowingly arrange for fraudulent academic credit or false transcripts for a student-athlete or prospect or provide academic services (e.g., tutoring, assistance with assignments).
  2. Knowingly offer or provide a prospective or enrolled student-athlete an improper extra benefit or improper financial aid including, but not limited to: cash, lodging, gifts, co-signing for loans, use of a vehicle, meals*
    * Exception: Mentors may provide a mentee with a meal in their home or at a location on Purdue’s campus, provided the mentor receives approval from the Athletics Compliance Office prior to the meal via the Occasional Meal Request Form. 
  3. Assist with the recruitment of prospects or have recruiting contact with any prospect or his/her relatives. 
  4. Knowingly furnish the NCAA or Boston College false or misleading information concerning involvement in or knowledge of a possible violation.
